The 5 ½ months that we spent traveling around the world was filled with unforgettable experiences for both of us. We were able to visit some of the most incredible places and wonders of the world. This included sites that are relatively new like the world famous Opera House in Sydney, Australia to the 600 year old Taj Mahal in India and then to the Egyptian Pyramids that are over 5,000 years old. There were too many others to mention. We traveled through some of the most beautiful rural areas in New Zealand, Austria, Italy and Portugal as well as trekked and camped in several spectacular mountains from the Milford Sound in New Zealand to the Cinque Terre cliff trail in Italy to the Inca Trail towards Macchu Pichu, Peru. We also visited many beautiful cities, i.e., Madrid, Rome, Venice, Bangkok, Hanoi and Lisbon, to experience their people, food and culture.
It was truly the trip of a lifetime. We are now back in Seattle, WA and after some readjustment time, are enjoying all of the activities that the Pacific Northwest offers.
2008 has been a remarkable year for us. The time we spent traveling passed by too quickly but the memories will last forever.
