Australia:


After three weeks of camping including a four day trek in Milford Sound, we’ll fly to Sydney, Australia for four days of pampering at the Sheraton Hotel. A “real” shower and sleeping on a “real” mattress should feel pretty good.

After all of the great things we have heard about this city, I know we’ll enjoy the sites and sounds. However, after touring Sydney, it’s back to 10 days of camping. We’ll pick up another camper and head north towards the Great Barrier Reef. The drive will take us up the coast highway to the southern most part of the reefs. How far north we get will depends on how much fun we run into along the way. The plan is to drive to Rockhampton and perhaps take a day flight over the reefs. At this point we’ll turn around and head back to Sydney for our flight to the next segment of our adventure and our first cultural shock – Vietnam. Catch up with you there.
