Thailand:
After arriving in Bangkok we will spend about 3 days seeing this city and there is a lot to see. We will concentrate on the Old City where the Grand Palace is. Using the river ferry up and down the Chao Phraya River will get us to the many parts of the city we will want to visit. After experiencing the sights and sounds of Bangkok we’ll take the overnight train to Chiang Mai. This city is in Northern Thailand and we’ll look forward to trekking and seeing the natural beauty of the Doi Suthep National Park. There is also another Old City to see. After a couple of days in Chiang Mai we’ll fly to the Western Gulf town of Surat Thani where we will find our way to the gulf port where there should be a water ferry that will take us to the island Ko Samui. The plan is to spend several days on the island exploring several of the surrounding islands. The snorkeling, kayaking, swimming, beaching and cold drinks should keep us relaxed. After leaving the Gulf of Thailand, it’s back to the Bangkok airport for our flight to India.
