Portugal:
After experiencing the monetary shock of our devalued dollar in most of Europe, we hope to recover somewhat in Portugal. Portugal has so much diversity even though it’s a relatively small country.
We plan to take trains from Spain into Portugal where we will rent a car for a week.
After spending a few days seeing the sights of Lisbon, swooning to Fado (music is the national obsession), learning all there is about the nuances of port wine and Madeira wine, we will head to the southern Algarve region to do some hiking. Then we head back to Lisbon where we take another REALLY long flight to Rio de Janeiro.
