I guess the question is ‘what does expensive mean’. We each bought an ‘Around the World’ airline ticket which saved us a lot of money. We will be camping, staying in 2 and 3 star hotels as well as Zimmers (B & B’s) along with some very nice Resorts reserved through frequent flyer/hotel programs. One of our objectives is to see and meet the people and experience the culture of the country.
