Preparations for this extensive adventure took many months. Beyond the travel plans we had to get visas, passports, the shots needed, arrange for bills to be paid automatically, figure out how to pack a small amount of clothes for 6 months into a backpack, plus all of the other essentials. The itinerary for the 5 months had to be pretty much in place with many reservation made months in advance because of limited availability on some of the treks we wanted to experience. We had to plan a way of having access to money worldwide in a quick and easy way. There was also a lot of time that was put into ‘building’ this website.
